| Pastoral
Council - The Pastoral Council consists
of nine elected members of the parish who serve three year terms. Each
year, the terms of three members expire and new elections are
held. All registered parishioners 18 and older are encouraged
to vote. New members are installed in July. The group brings ideas of
fellow parishioners to the pastor during monthly meetings; discusses
issues that the pastor brings to them; and coordinates
initiatives as requested by the pastor. A summary of major
topics will be published in the Sunday
bulletin. |

financial matters and to set parish financial policies and procedures.
Specific duties include reviewing the parish accounting function;
establishing and maintaining internal controls; preparation and
monitoring of the parish budget; preparing quarterly and annual
financial reports; assisting with parish stewardship, cash management,
and related duties. Skills required include business, accounting, or

| Facilities Committee
- The
Facilities Committee consists of parishioners with expertise
in some area of architecture, engineering, or construction. This group
provides professional advice and suggestions to the pastor relative to
building renovation and major repairs of parish property. The Committee
meets every four to eight weeks. An understanding of architecture,
engineering and construction is a benefit, but not necessary for
membership. Volunteers should have an interest in developing the parish
campus. |

| Strategic
Planning Committee - This
organization's mission is to ascertain the direction of our parish,
plan our objectives to reach these goals, and identify needs to
accomplish these objectives. This committee is in
direct communication with the Pastoral Council, the Finance Council,
and the Facilities Committee which all serve as advisory counsels to
the pastor. Like the Pastoral Council, its spectrum
encompasses the sacramental, spiritual, physical, and financial areas
of our parish and community. Balancing current assets and
parish information with foreseen needs and desires, this committee
communicates to the Pastoral Council who then makes recommendations to
the pastor to make decisions on the growth of our parish. |
